Installing Smartcard
To be able to use the smartcard it is required to have the software Classic Client Toolbox installed on your computer.

To install the software Classic Client Toolbox it is required to have Administrator privileges on your computer.
Then, a window will appear on the right, which identifies MULTICERT – SERVIÇOS DE CERTIFICAÇÃO ELECTRÓNICA, S.A. as publisher of the program and you will be asked if you want to install the software concerning the smartcard. To install it, you must press the button “Yes”.
The software license agreement of the software you are about to install is displayed.
If you accept it, you must select the option "I accept the agreement" and press the button "Next".
If you have a new qualified digital certificate, you must select "No, I want to restart my computer later" and click on "Finish".
In other cases, you must select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click on "Finish". Advanced certificates are provided in the active state and therefore do not require activation.
If you have a new qualified digital certificate and are asked whether you want to activate your digital certificate, you must click on "Yes", because these certificates are provided in the suspended state and can only be fully used after the activation.
If you click on “Yes”, the browser or a new browser tab will open on the activation page. If you press "No", you are redirected to the “Getting Started” page, where the most frequent uses of the digital certificate are displayed.
